The Library Project describes a Global Partnerships initiative that it says launched in November 2025. Its announcement describes work through local nonprofit partners to support children’s literacy. The November date refers to the reported launch, not necessarily the publication of the announcement. The source does not establish a ten-millionth-book ceremony or a partnership with every organization discussed elsewhere in literacy reporting. Library Project announcement
The organization says it has worked on children’s literacy since 2006 and describes partnerships as a way of delivering its work while managing operational costs. These are the organization’s descriptions of its approach, rather than independently measured results for every child served.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a separate programme. Its own published milestone page reports reaching 200 million books in 2023. The different organization, date and measure should remain explicit when describing that achievement. Imagination Library milestone
Book-distribution totals, libraries established and children reached are different measures of literacy activity. A milestone from one programme cannot be reassigned to another because both involve books. An affiliation should likewise be supported by a statement from the organizations concerned, rather than inferred from a shared purpose.
Archive note: the earlier ten-millionth-book event, claimed affiliations, study and attributed quotation were not substantiated.
